     Ah movies... They take us away to distant places and times, and grab our emotions and interests. They are an interesting study in our thinking and our times, and the desires of our hearts and minds. Movies show us things we could never see in an ordinary life, they sometimes let us see our fantasies take form on the screen in a visual display that our imaginations or those of the authors may never have been able to comprehend. Although books and written fiction still have their place in this world, so do the movies for bringing the dreams of others alive in cunning and sometimes provocative ways. My gratitude and appreciation goes to those who work in this industry, making dreams come true and bringing new worlds to life in such meaningful ways.

     October 16, 1999: Just watched Nightbreed tonight, awesome little piece of fantasy/horror. The make-up and effects were great, as was the story. They left it somewhat open for perhaps a sequel, though I would more appropriately envision a syndicated TV series for continuance of the story instead. However, my roommate seems to think that Clive Barker won't be extending the series. That's a shame, excellent story, wonderful concept, would love to see more.
